The Shiromani Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee, Sri Amritsar decided to start BDS course in Sri Guru Ram Das Institute of Dental Sciences & Research, Sri Amritsar in the year 1992 by constituting a Trust namely Sri Guru Ram Das Charitable Hospital Trust which was formed on 15.12.1992. Sri Guru Ram Das Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Amritsar was also started in the year 1997 under the control of Sri Guru Ram Das Charitable Hospital Trust, Amritsar.
