Government Medical College, formerly Glancy Medical College was formed in the year 1864 in Lahore, British India but later the college was shifted to Amritsar in 1920. Every year the college accepts 150 students for the course on the basis of 12th class examination. The college also offers Doctor of Medicine and Master of Surgery courses in different disciplines
