All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Rishikesh came into exsistence as an institute of National Importance through an Act of parliament. Official inauguration ceremony for Medical college of AIIMS,Rishikesh was held done on 20.09.2012. Subsequently MBBS classes with batch of 50 students were started on 21.09.2012.
